The scholars of Panjab College (PU) on Friday protested outdoors the administration block on the campus demanding waiver of semester payment amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The all-party protest was joined by pupil leaders of various organisations, together with College students For Society (SFS), Punjab College students Union (PSU-Lalkaar), All India College students Affiliation (AISA), Nationwide College students Union of India (NSUI), Ambedkar College students Affiliation (ASA), College students Organisation of India (SOI), amongst others.
PU had requested college students to deposit their semester payment until August 10 to be allowed to attend the net courses.
SFS chief and former PU Pupil Council president Kanupriya stated, “College students in increased academic institutes corresponding to PU come from diversified socio-economic backgrounds.
