A person in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh has been arrested after his spouse was paraded of their village carrying him on her shoulders on the suspicion of infidelity, the police mentioned on Thursday.
The police motion got here after a video of the incident went viral on Wednesday, through which the girl is seen carrying her husband on her shoulders as a punishment whereas villagers, carrying sticks, could be seen heckling her.
In keeping with police, the couple returned to their village below Kotwali police station within the district from Gujarat in the course of the Covid-19 lockdown.
Within the five-minute-long video, the girl could be seen struggling to stroll, and even forcing her husband to get off her shoulders. However the villagers once more pressure her to hold her husband.
“There was a dispute between the husband and spouse. The husband questioned her constancy. Once we received the knowledge we talked to the girl and lodged the FIR,” Surendra Singh, Jhabua Kotwali police inspector, mentioned.

Earlier in June, the same incident passed off in Jhabua when a lady was compelled to hold her husband on her shoulders, for over an hour. The person suspected infidelity on the a part of his spouse, based on police. The person and three others had been arrested within the incident.
