Chandigarh: A dozen farmer organisations took out a tractor march throughout Punjab on Monday, demanding the repeal of the three ordinances and the Electrical energy Act introduced by the Centre apart from a rollback of the gas value hike.
In a launch, All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordinating Committee Punjab convener Darshanpal stated that members of 10 organisations, together with Bhartiya Kisan Union (Dakonda), Kirti Kisan Union, Krantikari Kisan Union-Punjab, Punjab Kisan Union, Jamhuri Kisan Sabha, Kul Hind Kisan Sabha-Punjab, Kisan Sangharsh Committee Punjab, BKU (Ugrahan) and BKU (Krantikari), took half within the protest.
The farmer leaders stated that the three ordinances, particularly the Farmer Product Commerce and Commerce (Promotions and Assistants) Ordinance 2020, Value Assure and Farmer Providers (Empowerment and Safety) Ordinance 2020 and Important Commodities (Modification) have been geared toward handing over procurement of crops to company palms.
