Delhi visitors police launch advisory for I-Day, rehearsal – delhi information


The Delhi visitors police on Tuesday launched an in depth plan for street closures and visitors diversions for Independence Day on August 15 and its rehearsals on August 13.

In an announcement launched on Tuesday, Delhi visitors police stated that on each days, vehicular motion can be restricted for most people between four am and 10 am on the next roads: Netaji Subhash Marg from Delhi Gate to Chatta Rail, Lothian Street from GPO Delhi to Chatta Rail, SP Mukherjee Marg from HC Sen Marg to Yamuna Bazar Chowk, Chandni Chowk Street from Fountain Chowk to Purple Fort, Nishad Raj Marg from Ring Street to Netaji Subhash Marg, Esplanade Street and its Hyperlink Street to Netaji Subhash Marg and Ring Street from Rajghat to Kashmere Gate ISBT.

“On these roads, solely autos with authorised stickers can be allowed,” the visitors police stated.

Commuters have additionally been suggested to keep away from C- Hexagon (India Gate), Copernicus Marg, Mandi Home, Sikandra Street, A-Level on Tilak Marg, Mathura Street, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Subhash Marg, Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg and Ring Street between Nizamuddin Bridge and ISBT bridge and the outer ring street from IP Flyover by Shalimgarh Bypass to ISBT.

Commuters travelling from south Delhi in the direction of the north might both use Aurobindo Marg by way of Panchkuian Street and Rani Jhansi Street to achieve their locations or journey by Connaught Place, Minto Street by way of Naya Bazar and use Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Marg.

To journey from east Delhi in the direction of west Delhi, commuters can use the Delhi-Noida Direct Flyway and take the Nationwide Freeway-9, Vikas Marg, Shahdara Bridge and the get on the Wazirabad Bridge, which can stay open to reaching the Ring Street. An alternate route may be by way of Vikas Marg, by Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, Bhavbhuti Marg and reaching Rani Jhansi Street and Boulevard Street.
