A 35-year-old man was arrested for making an attempt to extort ₹10 lakh from a pesticide dealer in Fatehabad’s Bhuna, police mentioned on Monday.
The accused, Karan Singh, a resident of Bhuna, had allegedly despatched a threatening letter and a cartridge to the sufferer, Rakesh Singla, on June 28 and demanded ₹10 lakh from him. Singh, who’s a coach at personal sports activities academy, was arrested on Sunday and despatched to a one-day police remand.
Within the letter, Singh threatened to shoot the sufferer’s son lifeless: “In case you are keen to offer me the ransom, set up a inexperienced flag on the highest of your home.
